It’s certainly a Seller’s Market! The Austin Business Journal recently released a story which named the hottest selling zip codes around town. According to the ABJ, “Almost every submarket in metro Austin is reporting sales in excess of 95 percent of list price and many at 99 percent.” Read Austin Biz Journal’s full article for complete details, but here’s a quick breakdown of what to expect:

78722 – Cherrywood is full of remodeled homes whose price per square foot are up 11.4 percent, and closed sales are up 33 percent so far this year.

78728 – Throughout 2016, these houses along I-35, north of Howard Lane and south of State Highway 45 have sold within 20 days. Price per square foot is up 18 percent over last year, and during the month of May 2016, houses in 78728 sold within a single week.

78729 – This area of Jollyville is popular due to a recently expanded Apple Inc. regional headquarters. On average, these homes are going under contract within 12 days.

78734 – Homes in this section of Lakeway sold for 110 percent of their original list price throughout May.

78749 – This area near South MoPac and State Highway 71 is boasting an 11 percent increase in price per square foot year-over-year. On average, the houses in 78749 sold within 10 days during the month of May.

78753 – these homes are located along Lamar Blvd, north of U.S. 183, and are selling for 108 percent of their original list price.

78633, 78626, 78628 – these 3 zip codes represent the booming Georgetown and have already experienced 872 sales this year.

78660 – Topping out at 685, this zip code in Pflugeville has seen the most home sales so far this year.

78641 – 649 home sales for Leander.

As you can glean from these numbers, Austin’s market is booming. Williamson County is especially popular right now, with Georgetown notably one of the fastest growing cities in the country.
