November Home Sales Make Up for Sluggish October

Surprising almost everyone, November’s home sales numbers soared all across the Austin metro area. According to this article by the Austin Business Journal, “Single-family home sales across the metro area grew 15.8 percent in November compared to the same month in 2015.”

November is usually the slowest sales month of the year in the real estate world, so if November is booming, it’s a sign that Austin’s real estate scene isn’t calming down any time soon.

ABOR President Aaron Farmer stated “This end-of-year surge in home sales is an unusual and welcome surprise to what’s typically the lowest months for Central Texas home sales volume during the year. Home sales throughout 2016 continue to be fueled by our region’s steady population growth.”
