Hound of the Week – Twiggy

Metro Austin Homes is proud to announce a partnership with The Addicus’ Legacy to help rescued dogs get adopted. Each Tuesday we’ll be showcasing a different dog with information provided by the nonprofit so you can get acquainted with the adorable canine before you decide to bring the pet home with you.

Twiggy has such a sweet and happy personality, her eyes will melt your heart. When she sees you, she’ll likely come running up to you with the cutest stumbling puppy gallop – she’ll grow into those legs and will be the envy of all the girls at the park. Twiggy loves being loved on, especially when she does a “good job” at something. When getting rubbed she may roll over awkwardly as she gets to her back for a nice chest rub.

She is very curious about her surroundings and it’s imperative to have secured fencing as her beagle instincts are to hunt. She is kennel trained, though she may whine a little, she’ll settle down. She is a barker when she sees or hears other animals so she’ll need some corrective training to get to where she can ignore other dogs on walks – she’s doing well in the little time she’s been with her foster family.

She’s great with people, kids, and other dogs.
