Allandale

Brentwood

One of the oldest neighborhoods on this list is Brentwood. Having been around for half a century, soldiers coming back from WW2 had purchased houses in this neighborhood. Being around for so long, many would say that Brentwood has the closest knit community among all neighborhoods in Austin.

The last neighborhood on the list is the older and established area of North Shoal Creek. The neighborhood features everything you could possibly want. It’s a quieter neighborhood, but if you’re looking to go out, downtown is a quick drive away since the area is right next to major highways.
